TOP TEN WAYS TO MAKE THE MOST OUT OF ICM:

OKAY EVERYONE: HERE IS THE TOP 10 THINGS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR INDY CHRISTIAN MEDIA:


Well, We are officially GOING VIRAL -- with an average of 10 new members per week and we haven't even technically gone public... so to make sure we are all working for the same goal, I would like to highlight a couple of things.

1. Keep Posting VIDEOS and EVENTS and then SHARING THEM on FB and Twitter etc... ( did you know that you can EMBED VIDEOS into the DESCRIPTIONs of EVENTS? ) this is especially useful if you are promoting a CONCERT or SPECIAL SERVICE or series or drama.. you can have the event information include the VIDEO for maximum impact.
for an example CLICK HERE: (p.s. TAG your CONTENT-- VIDEOS, PHOTOS, FORUMS, EVENTS, ETc... so it's easy to SEARCH for your content by using the SEARCH feature on this site)

2. Start some Discussions on the FORUMS and also the BLOGS, as well as SUB DISCUSSIONS on the GROUPS that are there ( p.s. feel free to START your own GROUP(s) as you see fit.

3. We have Refined some of the site EXPECTATIONS and have a NEW TO ICM TUTORIAL with INSTRUCTIONS on how to use some of the most important features of this site CLICK HERE TO CHECK IT OUT.

4. Browse and CONNECT with other MEMBERS on this site, check out their profile ( and beware, others will be checking out yours, so make sure you "purty it up a little" and make it unique to you.)

5. YOU CAN MOVE STUFF AROUND: on your profile, almost each box can be re-positioned for maximum flow of your profile page, I highly recommend moving your "Gifts" box to the bottom corner of everything ( who really uses this anyway?) and make some room for your TEXT BOX that you have personalized to be your own.

6. THE LIGHT IS GREEN: well, we have enough CONTENT now to make it worth people's time to start INVITING people to JOIN this site and start using this as the CENTRAL PLACE for NEWS, MEDIA, INFORMATION, EVENTS, and RESOURCES... our goal to reach the world for Jesus Christ by using NEW MEDIA and ONLINE MISSIONS through a collaborative effort of Individuals, Pastors, Churches, Businesses and more. 7. Welcome people: the most important thing that you can do is WELCOME NEW MEMBERS... if you make it a habit to CHECK BACK daily to see what is NEW, make sure you take time to welcome NEW MEMBERS. I am looking for a couple of people who would be willing to do this, I would give you administrative license to make it easier.

8. Give us FEEDBACK: we want to know what you want to know, and some suggestions that you have to make the site better, more user friendly, etc... CONTACT US to let us know your thoughts.

9. For those of you without a Profile pic... shame on you, get one up ASAP, if you need help doing this, let us know. This site is a TOOL for connecting and managing relationships that grow the Kingdom, we would like to SEE you. If you post an EVENT, please upload an EVENT IMAGE ( should be 177pixels by 177pixels or 177x177 ) you can even use PAINTBRUSH to do this. Those are the same dimensions that you should use to CROP your PROFILE PIC before you upload it, so that you get it nice and neatly inside that little box, otherwise the NING site will crop it for you and it wont flatter you.

10. Be ENCOURAGING, we have a very DIVERSE cross section of people on this site, we all have STUFF to do, but we are all committed to the common goals of CHRIST. I think we should celebrate the fact that we have multiple cultures, backgrounds, education levels, vocations, ages, and churches represented here, let's keep up the good work by spreading the GOOD NEWS .
