For more information about transportation and parking, visit a specially-designed Web portal called “Know Before You Go” under the Transportation and Parking section of the Indianapolis Super Bowl website. It includes detailed instructions about road restrictions, recommended travel routes, downloadable maps, event parking in support of the NFL Experience and Super Bowl Village, and Park and Ride options. It will include real-time updates accessible directly on the site or by signing up for e-alerts. Know Before You Go will assist local residents and out-of-town visitors with the information necessary to best navigate downtown for work and various Super Bowl events.
Text Times Program Assist Visitors
From January 27 through February 4, “Street Team” volunteers (or mobile concierges) will be assisting visitors. The concierges will be easily identified by their bright orange feather flags with question marks on them. Downtown restaurants will be communicating via text regularly with the mobile concierges providing current wait times. Visitors wanting to grab a bite to eat will be given restaurant options with open seating availability with 45 minutes or less.
"Our restaurant "Text Times" program was designed to help visitors easily find a place to eat," said Susie Townsend, Vice President of Guest Welcome and Super Service for the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee. "As downtownrestaurants have open seating available, they communicate this information to the Street Teams. It's a ’win-win’ for all."
